We met in 2007 at a high school debate tournament (we know, we know) while attending Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio. We can’t agree on the exact details, but know that it all started in March in the Madison High School cafeteria. After several rain checks, a “date” at Six Flags Fiesta Texas for Norma’s birthday, two debate camps later, and a little match-making by a mutual friend, David and Norma finally became a couple on July 25, 2007.
We spent a year in San Antonio before I, Norma, went off to the nation’s capital for college, at The American University (go Eagles!). That first year apart, I returned to San Antonio a handful of times to visit my other half. He made the trek up north to be with me on Valentine’s Day and on that trip to DC, David was accepted to the University of Florida! Go Gators!
Again, we spent the summer together before parting ways to begin fall classes–I went back to DC, he to Florida. For the next four years, we traveled pretty frequently between Washington and Gainesville, and earned more than a few thousand frequent flyer miles!
After nearly five and a half years of dating, I, David, got down on one knee and proposed on November 23, 2012, at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, just miles away from where our relationship began. It gave us both something to be truly thankful for that year and always.
We can’t wait to see you at our wedding on October 11, 2014!

Be happy always. Love you
What a beautiful story! You both are meant for each other!! Love, The Antals
